As far as the play offs of the Indian Premier League are concerned, the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s campaign is as good as over. However, there’s still something for RCB to play for – pride ; a lot of which has already been lost by a side that started off as tournament favorites.

The Virat Kohli led Bengaluru based franchise, who had a dream season last year before they managed to lose the final to Sunrisers Hyderabad, started as one of the hot favorites to win the silverware. However, the injury marred side flattered to deceive and slumped to one defeat after other, eventually winning just 2 off their 12 games so far, easily their worst campaign in the history of the league.

Virat Kohli will still lead the Team with intensity and will go out all guns against the Kolkata Knight Riders today.

In line with the ‘Go Green’ campaign the Royal Challengers Bangalore started back in 2011, they will play today’s Team in their trademark green kit. For the uninitiated, the RCB kicked off the ‘Go Green’ campaign back in 2011, with a view to spread message on environmental conservation and create awareness about global warming.

The Royal Challengers have also picked up initiatives to plant trees in the past and have executed a few campaigns to that effect.

It may be recalled that in the last edition, Bangalore players took the initiative forward by reaching the stadium on cycle while CNG rikshaws were arranged for fans to reach the stadium.
