Royal Challengers Bangalore has named Scott Kuggeleijn the replacement of Kane Richardson in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2021. The New Zealand pacer was in Mumbai Indians’ bio-bubble as a reserve bowler and now will switch to RCB camp. He went unsold in the auction earlier this year.
The Australian duo of Kane Richardson and Adam Zampa decided to pull out of the ongoing season of IPL owing to the current coronavirus situation in India. Andrew Tye and Liam Livingstone of Rajasthan Royals were among the first players to leave the IPL.

Scott Kuggeleijn has previously played for Chennai Super Kings when he was named Lungi Ngidi’s replacement. He ended up playing a couple of games in 2019 for CSK. Also, he has represented New Zealand in 2 ODIs and 16 T20Is, the last of which came in December 2020.
Earlier, Delhi Capitals off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has flown home owing to the current coronavirus situation in India and decided to spend time with his family.

Richardson featured in the game against Rajasthan Royals while Adam Zampa was yet to feature in a single game this year. Andrew Tye and Livingstone also returned home without playing a single game in the IPL 2021.
