Samson enjoyed a sensational campaign and was eventually named Player of the Tournament after delivering consistently strong performances, particularly during the latter stages of the competition. His batting played a crucial role in India’s title-winning run, making him one of the most influential players in the event.

Ponting identified the top five performers of the tournament, with Jacks leading the list after receiving a perfect score of 10 out of 10. The England star impressed in his role as a finisher and also contributed with useful overs as a part-time spinner. Notably, Jacks was named Player of the Match in four of the eight games he played, underlining his impact throughout the tournament.
