Delhi Capitals (DC) batter, Rovman Powell made a valiant effort of chasing 36 off the last over but it went in vain as the Rajasthan Royals (RR) registered a 15-run win over DC in the 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Earlier in the game, DC skipper, Rishabh Pant win the toss and asked RR to bat first, but they conceded as many as 222 runs and managed to scalp just a couple of wickets as Jos Buttler played a special knock of 116 runs from 65 balls. Chasing the mammoth total DC lost their first wicket on a total of 43 in form of David Warner.

When DC required 36 runs off the last six balls, the first 3 balls of the last over were hit for 3 back-to-back sixes by Rovman Powell. The third ball, however, appeared to be above the waist but the umpires did not call it a no-ball. Delhi Capitals camp was fuming as Rovman Powell was robbed of a no-ball in the 3rd ball of the last over.

Rishabh Pant called back his players but umpires denied that. The crowd too was chanting cheater, cheater. He was angry with the call and wanted the players to return if the no-ball was not checked. Eventually, things got settled but Powell could not connect the remaining 3 balls and DC lost by 15 runs.
