In a display of his prowess behind the stumps, Delhi Capitals’ skipper Rishabh Pant showcased his remarkable wicketkeeping skills with a stunning catch to dismiss Gujarat Titans’ David Miller. Pant, who is making a strong comeback in the IPL 2024 season, has been impressive both with the bat and behind the wickets, reaffirming his position as a top-notch gloveman.
The crucial catch occurred during the 5th over of the match, as David Miller attempted to fend off a delivery from Ishant Sharma. Despite the ball taking a slight nick off Miller’s bat and hitting his hip, Rishabh Pant exhibited lightning reflexes as he lunged to his right to complete the catch.
Initially unsure, Rishabh Pant was urged to go for the review by his teammates, including Ishant and Jake Fraser-McGurk. The subsequent DRS confirmed the faint nick, leading to Miller’s dismissal. Delhi Capitals’ bowlers displayed precision after winning the toss and electing to bowl first.
