Radio jockey, actress, and producer RJ Mahvash has strongly reacted to the swirling dating rumors linking her with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. Taking to Instagram, she dismissed the speculation as baseless and urged people to stop making unfounded assumptions about her personal life.
The buzz began after Chahal and Mahvash were spotted together enjoying the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final between India and New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The two appeared to be in good spirits, and Mahvash even shared some moments from the match on social media, further fueling speculation. The timing of these rumours is particularly striking, given the ongoing reports about Chahal’s alleged separation from his wife, Dhanashree Verma.
Whispers about a possible relationship between Chahal and Mahvash first emerged when they reportedly spent Christmas 2024 together. Later, a mystery woman seen with Chahal at a hotel was identified as Mahvash, adding more fuel to the fire. The Champions Trophy final appearance only intensified discussions, with social media abuzz over their alleged closeness.

However, Mahvash has now set the record straight. In a fiery Instagram story, she dismissed the dating rumours, calling them laughable and hinting at PR strategies being used to involve her in the controversy. She expressed frustration over the way society jumps to conclusions when a man and woman are seen together, emphasizing the need to respect personal boundaries.
She wrote, “Some articles and speculations have been circulating around the internet. It’s literally funny to see how baseless these rumors are. If you get seen with a person of the opposite gender, does that mean you are dating them? I’m sorry, what year is this? And how many people are you all dating then? I have been patient for 2-3 days now, but I won’t let any PR teams drag my name into this to cover up other people’s images. Let people live in peace with their friends and family during tough times.”

Interestingly, amid all the speculation, Mahvash’s social media following has skyrocketed. Before the Champions Trophy final, she had around 1.5 million followers on Instagram, but in just two days, that number surged to 2.1 million, an increase of over 600,000 followers.
While Mahvash has spoken out, Chahal has remained silent on both his rumored divorce and his alleged relationship with Mahvash. The Indian leg-spinner is now focused on his cricketing commitments, gearing up for IPL 2025, where he will represent Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the upcoming season.
