Mahvash revealed that Chahal fractured his ribs as early as Punjab’s second match of the season and later picked up another fracture in his bowling finger. Despite the immense physical toll, the seasoned spinner chose to push through the pain barrier and continued to feature in every game, including the high-pressure playoff fixtures.

She recalled moments when Yzuvendra Chahal was seen screaming and crying due to the pain but never allowed it to break his spirit or commitment to the team.

“They fought, stayed, and played till the last match! Special post to @yuzi_chahal23 because what people don’t know is that his ribs were fractured in the second game itself, and later his bowling finger. He played the whole season with three fractures. We’ve seen him in pain, but never giving up. What a warrior spirit you have, man,” RJ Mahvash wrote, offering a glimpse of Chahal’s grit that went unnoticed by many.
