“The way we won in the series is more satisfying. It has been a series of comebacks for us. Whenever we have been under pressure, we could absorb it and fight back,” said Rohit Sharma on March 6.

The emergence of young talents like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, and Dhruv Jurel played a crucial role in India’s success, contributing with important runs. Additionally, debutant pacer Akash Deep made a notable impact in Ranchi by picking up three wickets in the first session.

Discussing the pitch conditions for the final Test in Dharamsala, Sharma anticipated that it might offer swing and seam due to overcast conditions. He suggested that the pitch could behave like typical Indian tracks, providing assistance to seamers early on and gradually turning into a spinner-friendly surface as the match progresses.

“Whether it’s a rank turner or any other pitch, the intent is to win. Even on rank turners, advantages and disadvantages are for both teams,” remarked Rohit Sharma on the playing conditions.

Considering the conditions, Sharma hinted at the possibility of India playing an extra spinner. He mentioned that the decision was not finalized but emphasized the likelihood of including an additional spinner in the playing XI.

“There is a good chance to play an extra seamer. We have not yet completely decided on it, but there is a good chance,” stated Rohit Sharma during the press conference.
