Star Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has been in the headlines of late, much for his excellent captaincy that made India win in the T20 World Cup, 2024. The victory celebrations were staged with huge receptions in India; among them were the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde at New Delhi and Mumbai, respectively.
After a maddening schedule of celebrations, Rohit Sharma is currently in London, England, to witness the high-billed semi-finals of Wimbledon – the premier Lawn Tennis tournament. The semis contest between Daniil Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz of tennis took large eyeballs, and accordingly, his presence at the event has gone viral on social media.

Recently another Mumbai cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar, had also attended a Wimbledon match in the ongoing tournament. English cricketers Jos Buttler, Joe Root and Ben Stokes were also seen attending the match alongside Tendulkar.
Wimbledon is the oldest, started in 1877, and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the history of tennis, conducted annually in London. It showcases the cream of talent and thousands of sports buffs from every nook and corner of the world.

What has to be seen is the match Rohit is attending. Two giants in sport, Medvedev and Alcaraz, licking their respective wounds, fight tooth and nail to make a place in the grand finale.
