Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper, Rohit Sharma was seen giving a virtual hug to a pitch invader during their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday at the MCA Stadium in Pune. MI had put up a sturdy total of 151 on the board courtesy of a stunning knock from Suryakumar Yadav. He played a decent knock of 68 off just 34 balls, including 6 massive hits over the fence.
During the chase, RCB started off well with a 50-run opening partnership between Anuj Rawat and Faf du Plessis. Soon after, Du Plessis was dismissed by Jaydev Unadkat with Virat Kohli walking in to do what he does best – chase down totals with ease.

During the chase, a fan ended up breaching the security and he ran toward Rohit. The MI captain was seen turning back and distancing himself from the fan due to understandable Covid-19 guidelines, He then gave him a virtual hug, and then the RCB batsman Virat Kohli was seen appreciating the gesture.

Earlier, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to field against MI at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Saturday. The five-time champions are in an unpleasant position with three defeats and are up against the RCB received a further boost with the return of Glenn Maxwell.
