Rohit Sharma wishes his wife Happy Valentine’s Day with a special gift

Indian top-order batsman Rohit Sharma finally returned in form after scoring a crucial match-winning century against the host South Africa in the 5th ODI at Port Elizabeth on Tuesday. With his brilliant century knock, India secured their victory in the six-match ODI series before the final ODI of the series. After receiving Man of the Match award a day prior to Valentine’s Day, Rohit now wishes his wife Ritika Sajdeh with a special gift.

In the important fifth-ODI encounter between the hosts South Africa and the visitors India at Port Elizabeth, Indian opener Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant century of 115 runs off 126 balls and that helped his team to clinch a victory by 73 runs in that match. At the end of the match, Rohit was selected for the Man of the match award.

With this victory, India secured the series victory even before playing the last game of the series. In the six-match ODI bilateral series, India is ahead by the 1-4 margin after the fifth encounter. Playing more than one match in a bilateral series, it is India’s first series victory on the South African soil.

Before this innings, Rohit was running off-form in this whole tour. In the ongoing South Africa tour, He scored only 78 runs (average 19.50) in the first two Test of the three-match Test series, while the right-handed opening batsman only managed to score 40 runs (average 10) in the first four ODIs.

On the Valentine day occasion, Rohit wishes his wife through an Instagram post along with the Man of the Match trophy, which he won in the last night.

In last December, on their second marriage anniversary, Rohit had scored a superb double century (208*) in an ODI against Sri Lanka at Mohali and dedicated that to his wife who had presented in the stadium and watched that double-century moment live.

In that post-match press conference, Rohit had said, “I’m happy my wife is here with me on this special day. I know she would have liked this gift from me. She has been my strength. She has always been there for me. You go through so much stress in this sport, and having them around is always special.”
