Rajasthan Royals (RR) are locking horns with Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 10th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. After winning the toss, the MI skipper, Rohit Sharma asked RR to bat first as it has been a pattern in the tournament as none of the captains have opted to bat first. RR opener Jos Buttler came out all guns blazing as he smashed the MI pacer, Basil Thampi for 26 runs in the third over of the match.
The Mumbai Indians took an early advantage as their premier pacer, Jasprit Bumrah dismissed young opener, Yashaswi Jaiswal at the score of one. But then the former MI fast bowler, Basil Thampi conceded as many as 26 runs to put the Royals back in the driver’s seat. Jos Buttler has always loved batting against the Mumbai Indians as he scored 89 off 43 balls in the IPL 2019. The Royals were chasing a massive total of 188 where Butler showed his class.

During Basil Thampi’s first over, Jos Buttler smashed the fast bowler for a monstrous six over mid-wicket to give his side a massive boost in the powerplay of the game. Jos Buttler struck 3 sixes and 2 boundaries against Basil Thampi in that over leaving fans and commentators in awe.
