Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) locked horns with each other for the third time in teh first Qualifier of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. CSK has been witnessing a brilliant outing in the ongoing season, however, not many teams have come from a dark face that CSK went through in the last season of the IPL 2021 and a lot of credit for teh same goes to Ruturaj Gaikwad.

The MS Dhoni-led team witnessed a forgettable outing in the last season of the very disappointing in the last season where there was no spark whatsoever in the team. But the three-time IPL champions have done very well to stand a chance to win their fourth title. However, recent most games have not gone the way CSK would have liked as they lost three consecutive matches during teh league stages.

However, it all started to happen after CSK officially qualified for the playoffs, however, they didn’t leave any stone unturned in the match against Delhi Capitals. They have more experience in the playoffs than DC and MS Dhoni was wary of this.

During the chase, R Ashwin, who is known for his aggression in the field was at his attacking best against Chennai Super Kings. Ruturaj Gaikwad was batting and he was ready with his stance. But Ashwin did not bowl to him and stopped on his action.

And the very next ball when Ashwin got the taste of his own medicine when Ruturaj Gaikwad moved from his batting stance. It was a befitting reply from Gaikwad who did not take the needless aggression from Ashwin.

However, CSK had an uphill task against DC in the match but they managed to pull off a win with a couple of balls to spare. They chase down the target of 173 runs owing to 6-ball 18 by skipper MS Dhoni.  But after Faf’s wicket, CSK are slowly building up their chase.
