Sachin Tendulkar Comes Back Home From Hospital After 6 Days

On the eve of the commencement of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, the Indian cricket fans got pleasant news as the legendary Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar has finally got back home after being discharged from the hospital and will now practice self-isolation at his home. On March 27, he tested positive for the Covid-19 and immediately isolated himself from the rest of the world.

The batting legend announced the news of him contracting the novel coronavirus on his official Twitter handle. On April 2, the 47-Sachin Tendulkar was advised by the doctors to get hospitalized and he obliged. After staying at the hospital for a week, he has witnessed an improvement in his condition and finally returned back home. However, the Mumbai-born is yet to return the negative result for the virus.

After returning home, the Little Master expressed gratitude on his official Twitter handle for the people showering messages in the last few days, he tweeted,  “I would like to thank everyone for all the good wishes and prayers. Really appreciate it. I remain grateful to all the medical staff who took such good care of me and have been working tirelessly for over a year in such difficult circumstances.”

The batting maestro recently led the India Legends team to win the inaugural edition of the Road Safety World Series. The tournament comprises of the former cricketers from a handful of cricket countries who came together to play a cricket tournament again with a motive of making people aware of the importance of Road Safety.

However, four members of the India Legends squad — Tendulkar, Subramaniam Badrinath, Irfan Pathan, and Yusuf Pathan confirmed that they had tested positive for COVID-19 merely days after the tournament’s completion.
