Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar has decided to raise his hand up and help the people. On Friday, Sachin Tendulkar donated 50 lakh to help people fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
The pandemic spread of the Covid-19 Virus has affected more than 700 people in India taking away 20 lives. Originated in China, the virus has now affected more than 552,500 people taking 25,000 lives.
Tendulkar’s donation is so far the biggest contribution among India’s leading sportspersons, some of whom have pledged their salaries while a few others have donated medical equipment to fight the dreaded outbreak, which has caused more than 24,000 deaths globally.

A source privy to the development said. “Sachin Tendulkar decided to contribute Rs 25 lakh each to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in his bid to join the fight against COVID-19. It was his decision that he wanted to contribute to both funds.”
Sachin Tendulkar is a huge believer in charity and is often seen being associated with various charity events. The star player has donated a lot of money for various social causes. Sachin has also been discreetly helped people, and such acts of humanity have often gone by as unrecognized to other public. Other cricketers have too joined in the mission and decide to help the government.
