India’s first historical day-night test match will rarely be forgotten, but on the first day of this test, the Indian wicket-keeper Saha also achieved a remarkable record. Wriddhiman Saha caught Mahmudullah’s excellent catch off Ishant’s ball in the first innings of this Test, as well as another batsman ie team opener Shadman Islam, caught by Umesh Yadav. With the help of these two catches, he completed his 100 wickets in Test cricket.

Wriddhiman Saha has now become India’s fifth wicket-keeper, behind 100 dismissals in Test cricket. Four more wicketkeepers have done this before Saha. For India, wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the most victim behind the wicket in the Test, who dismissed a total of 294 batsmen. After him, Syed Kirvani is in second place with 198 wickets.

After winning the toss, Mominul Haque decided to bat first, his decision has been followed by Bangladesh losing six wickets in the first session of the day. Bangladesh made a couple of changes in the squad as Al-Amin Hossain and Nayeem Hassan replaced Taijul Islam and Mehidy Miraz. While India made no changes to their playing XI.

The Indian bowlers wreaked havoc as they bundled out for a meager total of 106 runs. Ishant Sharma was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 5 wickets (his 10th 5-wicket haul in Test and 2nd at home), while Umesh Yadav taking three and Mohammed Shami also taking a couple.
