The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder, Sam Curran is known more for his batting than bowling as he played quite a few decent knocks, both for England and his domestic teams. The southpaw has also opened the batting and doesn’t mind going against the opposition bowling attack. In 2019, Curran made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), now Punjab Kings (PBKS).

In 2020, Curran bought by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) where he plays under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Recently, he was seen playing the practice games before the 2021 edition of the cash-rich T20 league. Meanwhile, Curran was seen imitating Ravindra Jadeja’s trademark sword celebration. The former seemed to have nailed the celebration with perfection.

Earlier, Sam Curran expressed gratitude for being able to ply his trade in the IPL. He stated, “Really enjoyed the IPL and feel I have taken my game to a different standard in terms of my learning. I took a lot away from that group and the coaching staff at Chennai. I feel my game has improved since I went there and I want to keep trying to improve and become a regular.”

As far as Jadeja is concerned, he will be returning to the cricket field after a gap of three months. He had sustained an injury during the Test series against Australia after which he missed the ODIs, T20Is, and Tests against England as well.

Talking about his CSK CEO, Kasi Viswanathan said, “See, Jadeja has been cleared [to play] by the NCA [National Cricket Academy]. He has joined our team for practice. He is looking good. He is working hard. And we are hoping that he will be fully fit by the time the IPL starts.”
