Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar, who has now become a well-known commentator was at the receiving end of heavy trolls after he urged the team management to rest MS Dhoni from the third ODI between India and Australia at the JSCA stadium in Ranchi.
Meanwhile, the men in blue are currently leading the five-match series 2-0. The hosts kept their nerves strong in the second ODI at Nagpur to seal a thrilling win by eight runs. Vijay Shankar bowled a terrific last over to defend 11 runs giving away just two runs and picking two wickets as he finished the game in just first three balls. That victory, along with India’s six-wicket win in the first game in Hyderabad means that Australia has to win everything from here to keep going in the five-match series.

However, it doesn’t reflect the true picture of how the Australians have played in the series so far. They had India at 99 for four in the first match, and then at Nagpur, Marcus Stonis kept them in line in their chase. Virat Kohli and his men have handled pressure well which has been the difference between both the sides.

With a comfortable lead in the series, Manjrekar opined to rest MS Dhoni from the Ranchi ODI. Meanwhile, with age on the wrong side, this may be the last ODI for the latter in his home town. Dhoni is likely to announce his retirement after the 2019 ICC World Cup.

However, this didn’t go well with the Twitterattis and they come hard on Sanjay Manjrekar. Meanwhile, this is not the first time and Manjrekar has been subjected to online trolls quite a few times now.
