Sanju Samson isn’t frustrated after not getting a national call up

Sanju Samson is one of the capable contenders to don the blue jersey. He has been continuously performing for his state and in the Indin Premier League (IPL). But, he is yet to get a national call up. Though this doesn’t frustrate him at all and he is still trying his best to get selected in the India team. Samson has made his IPL debut in 2013 and since then, he has been pretty much consistent. Last year he amassed more than 400 runs while this year he scored 337 runs in 11 games with a century and a half-century. Even his performance impressed former West India captain Brian Lara as well.

However, Sanju Samson also expressed his gratitude for the veteran.

“It feels really great when legends like Lara talk highly of you. It boosts your confidence. I am very confident and happy with the way I have been playing. But I am excitingly waiting for my opportunity to play for India,” Samson as quoted in News18.

“There is no point in getting frustrated. You can use it as motivation and push more. It’s not easy to get into the Indian team. You need to work hard and earn that spot.” Samson, The 24-year-old batsman further said and the experience made him a better player.

However, Delhi Capitals won the game by 5 wickets where Rajasthan Royals lost two crucial points in the final game and left the hope of playing in the playoffs as well.
