On Tuesday night, Indian pacer Shardul Thakur’s parents met with a road accident in Palghar district near Mumbai. According to the reports, both are out of danger, though his father is still admitted in the hospital while his mother has been discharged as she had a minor injury.
On the last night, Shardul Thakur’s father Narendra Thakur and mother Hansa Thakur met with an accident while they were returning the home (Mahim village) from a wedding ceremony in Alyali (Palghar). While they were returning on a bike, that bike skidded near Sundaram School where a road construction was undergoing. Due to no streetlights available in that place, they couldn’t see that undergoing construction.
The nearby people rushed them to Dr Dhawale Charitable Hospital at Palghar. While Shardul’s mother Hansa Thakur got some minor injuries as she has been discharged soon, father Narendra Thakur needed a better treatment as the ortho surgeon Dr Prakash Gudsoorkar detected a brain clot during a CT scan. Later, Narendra Thakur was shifted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra (Mumbai) for the better treatment.

According to Hindustan Times, Dr. Prakash Gudsoorkar said, “The patient is diabetic with hypertension and already had undergone two heart surgeries and suffered intracranial bleeding (intern bleeding of skull and brain) and was vomiting, hence we advised him to be shifted to the Mumbai hospital while his wife has been discharged as she suffered minor injuries.”
Earlier, a police official stated, “We are yet to record their statements as they are undergoing treatment.”
After hearing that news, Shardul has rushed to home from Pune where he is busy in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2018). The 26-year-old right-arm pacer is playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in this season and presently he is the leading wicket-taker for his team in this season (8 wickets in 7 matches).
CSK will play their next game on this Friday (May 11) against the hosts Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium (Jaipur). Still, there is no clearance about Shardul’s availability for the Friday’s game.
