Shikhar Dhawan has been playing for the Indian national cricket team for over a decade now and has done well while doing so. However, he wasn’t in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE, where India got knocked out of the tournament early and couldn’t make it to the semifinals of the tournament.
However, Dhawan is a strong cog in India’s One-Day International schemes, where he comes to open the innings with Rohit Sharma and the duo form a formidable partnership together.
Dhawan was instrumental with his bat in the Delhi Capitals’ campaign in the recent years of the Indian Premier League. In the IPL 2020, Delhi Capitals reached the final and Dhawan was among the leading run-scorers of the tournament. He notched up back-to-back centuries to become the first-ever player to achieve the feat in the history of IPL.
