Shikhar Dhawan has his wife Ayesha Mukherjee are separated after 10 years into their marriage. The couple has completed the divorce, which Ayesha announced on her social media platform.
The star Indian batsman married Melbourne-based Ayesha in 2012 and adopted her two daughters from the first marriage. The couple had another child post their marriage – a son, Zoravar.

Ayesha, who was a boxer, revealed it on her Instagram account. She wrote an emotional post where she opened up about her two divorces and how she coped up with things.
“Funny how words can have such powerful meanings and associations. I experienced this first hand as a divorcee. The first time I went through a divorce I was soooooooo scared. I felt like I had failed and I was doing something so wrong at that time,” Ayesha Mukherjee wrote.

“I felt as if I had let everyone down and even felt selfish. I felt that I was letting my parents down, I felt that I was letting my children down and even to some extent I felt as if I was letting God down. Divorce was such a dirty word,” she added.
Meanwhile, there has been no confirmation or denial from Dhawan’s side.

Dhawan is likely to be picked up in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE and Oman. He was recently seen playing for India during the tour of Sri Lanka, where he captained India as well.
He will soon be seen in Delhi Capitals’ colour in the upcoming second leg of the IPL 2021, which will take place in the UAE. He has been in sensational form before the league came to a standstill.
