Former Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper, Shreyas Iyer is looking in a good batting form in the ongoing UAE leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. Batting at number three, he has amassed 91 runs in three outings, guiding Delhi Capitals to two wins. Notably, Iyer had missed the first half of the competition owing to a shoulder injury. Hence, he had the onus to make a stunning comeback and impress selectors ahead of the high-voltage T20 World Cup.

Shreyas Iyer is definitely making a case for himself and would like to continue his impressive run. Meanwhile, fans got to see some glimpses of Iyer can be seen having a go at the bowlers in a recently-posted video on Delhi Capitals’ Twitter page. The clip apparently shows how the star batter goes about his business during a practice session.

The 26-year-old’s obsession with big-hitting is clearly evident and he termed the sound of the ball hitting the bat ‘orgasmic.’ In the video, Shreyas Iyer can also be seen challenging a bowler. DC captioned it as, “See that antenna on top of the academy? I’m going to hit you there. ” The swashbuckler played several big hits in the practice session as bowlers seemed to endure a hard time.

After the competition of the session, Iyer said he was satisfied as he was challenging bowlers and winning. These are certainly great signs for DC with the tournament being in its business. Notably, DC has already qualified for the playoffs, as they have won 8 matches of their first 11 games. However, they are now eyeing to finish among the top two and it will give them a cushion of losing a game in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, DC’s last outing against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) saw the latter winning the game by three wickets at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Although the Rishabh Pant-led team doesn’t really need to worry about the loss, ahead of their next game against Mumbai Indians on October 2 in Sharjah.
