The second match of the three-match T20I series between India and New Zealand is being played at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. The Indian batter Shreyas Iyer, who was witnessing in good rhythm in this match, got out hit wicket. When he got out, he had scored 13 runs in nine balls with the help of a four and a maximum. Talking about the match, New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to bowl first. Team India sent Ishaan Kishan and Rishabh Pant for the opening while experimenting in this match. However, Pant could not do much and got out after scoring six runs in 13 balls. Ishaan Kishan played an inning of 36 runs in 31 balls. In his innings, he hit five fours and a six.

After this, Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer took the innings forward and took India’s score beyond 100. There was a 39-run partnership between the two for the third wicket. After the dismissal of Shreyas, Suryakumar along with captain Hardik Pandya led the innings. Suryakumar, meanwhile, scored his 13th half-century in T20 Internationals.
