The football universe has been divided into two predominant halves– one cluster supporting Cristiano Ronaldo and the other support Lionel Messi.

While Ronaldo is currently playing for Juventus, Messi has been a part of FC Barcelona since the start of his football journey. Amid the sport being ruled by these two superstars, many Indian cricketers are known to be their fanboys.

On several occasions, many cricketers have joined the debate over who amongst the two footballers is the superior one. The Indian skipper Virat Kohli had also chosen Ronaldo over Messi when he was asked to choose between the two. Meanwhile, another Indian cricketer– Shreyas Iyer– has also voiced his opinion about the two football maestros. Like Kohli, Iyer also chose Ronaldo over Messi when he was asked to reveal his preference. 

While the world has come to a halt with the novel Coronavirus, many cricketers and prominent personalities have been active on various social media platforms to interact with their fans. Many cricketers including Shreyas conducted a Question&Answer session on Twitter where the Delhi Capitals skipper took the side of Ronaldo over Messi.

Along with voicing his opinion about Ronaldo vs Messi debate, Iyer also went on to answer quite a few questions. From sharing his opinion on KL Rahul to choosing his favorite South Indian dish– the youngster did not shy away from answering questions on the micro-blogging site.

The 25-year-old was last seen in the five-match ODI series against New Zealand where the Men in Blue suffered a thumping series defeat. He was the highest run-scorer in the ODI series. Virat Kohli and his men had to endure a 3-0 loss against the Kiwis after clinching the T20I series 5-0.
