Gill played a stunning innings of 104 off 53 balls as Gujarat Titans chased down 215 in the penultimate over, completing the highest successful run chase in IPL playoff history. The Gujarat Titans captain has now scored 722 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 163.72, placing him second in the Orange Cap race. His opening partnership with Sai Sudharsan has been one of the biggest strengths of GT this season, with both batters producing runs consistently and maintaining strike rates of around 160.
