Sourav Ganguly, who turns 54 today, has unveiled the first poster of his much-awaited biopic, Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story, starring Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. The film is set for a worldwide release on 14 May 2027, arriving over an extended holiday weekend. The first-look poster recreates one of the most iconic scenes in Indian cricket history, with Rajkummar Rao portraying Ganguly during his famous jersey-waving celebration from the Lord’s balcony after India’s memorable NatWest Trophy triumph over England in 2002.

That moment, coming after India chased down 326 in one of the greatest run-chases in ODI history, remains one of the defining images of the nation’s cricketing rise.
