Teenage opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again showcased his fearless batting approach against England pace spearhead Jofra Archer during the third T20I at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Chasing a challenging target of 202, the 15-year-old refused to be intimidated by Archer’s express pace, entertaining fans with another audacious six early in India’s innings.

Sooryavanshi came to the crease after India elected to field first and England posted an imposing 201/7. Facing the penultimate delivery of the opening over, the left-hander was tested immediately by Archer with a sharp short ball on the body. Although he missed his attempted hook shot, the youngster showed remarkable confidence by responding in style on the very next delivery.
Archer banged in another short ball, this time clocking 146 kph outside the off stump. Sooryavanshi reacted instantly, slashing the ball over backward point for a spectacular six. It was another glimpse of the fearless stroke play that has made him one of India’s most exciting young batting prospects.

Attempting an aggressive pull shot, Sooryavanshi could only glove the ball through to wicketkeeper Jos Buttler. His entertaining innings ended on 13 runs from just five deliveries, featuring two towering sixes.
Although the youngster has managed scores of 14 and 13 in his first two T20I innings, his aggressive intent and confidence against world-class bowling have already caught the attention of cricket fans and experts alike.
