Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly has always been able to churn out young talent and it is no secret that such a quality has gone only done well for Indian cricket. He is currently holding the position of the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). Ganguly also had words of encouragement for Arjun Tendulkar, who is the son of Sachin Tendulkar after he was selected in the India U-19 squad for the tour of Sri Lanka. He said, “Lots of wishes to him. I have never seen him play. I hope he does well.”
Sourav further said Virat Kohli and his men are overwhelming favorites to win the next month’s full series in England. He said, “I’m very hopeful that India will win in England. The way they have played the ODI series in South Africa, if they are able to hold back the momentum, they will absolutely win.”
India will play three T20Is, three ODIs and five Tests in the tour of England beginning July 3. Recently, the English team suffered a nine-wicket loss to Pakistan at the Lord’s Test before leveling the series 1-1 at Headingley.

Talking on the same line, Sourav said, “India is a far better side than Pakistan. India will have better chances of winning the series.”
India captain Kohli’s phenomenal batting form has fetched him the BCCI’s best cricketer award for two seasons and Ganguly said he should just keep playing. He said, “He’s nearing 30 and has other six-seven years… He just has to keep playing and don’t worry about anything.”
The Prince of Kolkata’s love for football is no secret and his favorite football team Brazil but at the same time wants to be captivated by Lionel Messi’s artistry this summer at the FIFA World Cup in Russia. He said, “I am looking forward to Messi magic. He’s yet to win a World Cup. It’s going to be a big World Cup for him. Brazil is my favorite team but I am a Messi fan.”
