BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly is of the opinion that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be back to their best before the T20 World Cup this year in spite of their poor outing in IPL. Kohli has just managed to score 236 runs from 13 matches at a below-par score of 19.67 while Rohit has only managed to score 218 runs from 12 matches at just 18.17 in IPL 2022.

The two Indian two senior batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are going through a lean patch in IPL 2022. Kohli has been going through his worst phase in international cricket as well as IPL as he has failed to score a century for the last couple of years. Rohit has been struggling with the bat in the ongoing season of IPL and Mumbai Indians are at the bottom of the points table without his contribution.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has backed both players saying they will be in top shape before the T20I World Cup to be played later this year.

During a recent conversation with Mid-day, Sourav Ganguly said, “I’m not worried at all about the form of Rohit or Virat. They are too good…real big players. The World Cup is far away and I am quite confident that they will be in top shape much before the tournament.”
