The Sri Lankan commentator Roshan Abeysinghe has reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the coverage of the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. He took to his Twitter handle and wrote that Virat Kohli has been ruled out of the Asia Cup due to a wrist injury and the youngster Shubman Gill will be replacing the batting stalwart.
The fans were left dismayed after hearing the news as they want their favorite batsman to be a part of such a big tournament. However, the commentator has now apologized for his tweet which turned out to be false.

The Sri Lankan commentator took to his Twitter handle today morning and apologized to the fans that the news of Virat Kohli’s injury is fake. The tweet was deleted by the commentator and the fans were relieved to know that Kohli is indeed going to play in the Asia Cup 2022. In his apology tweet, Roshan wrote: “Sorry Virat’s news is fake.
