England pacer Stuart Broad is currently not in form with the ball. January 2016 was the last time when Broad claimed a five-wicket haul. In the recently concluded Ashes series, where the visitors England lost by the 4-0 margin against the hosts Australia, Broad claimed 11 wickets after bowling in eight innings (5 matches). However, Broad is believing to return in form after improving his technical errors recently.
The two-match Test series between the hosts New Zealand and the visitors England will begin on this Thursday. The first Test will be the day/night Test at Eden Park (Auckland) which will also be the first ever day/night Test on the New Zealand soil.
Stuart Broad (399 Test wickets) is just one wicket away to become the only second English bowler to claim 400 Test wickets. It is very much expecting that he will achieve this feat in the upcoming day/night Test.

Broad recently spent a lot of hours to observe his problem during his bowling. After finding those issues, he has worked with that. Now, he believes that he can return in the form with the ball.
Speaking about that, Broad said, “I’ve just got that feeling, something in my stomach that tells me my career is about to take off a bit. I’m someone who can change games and that’s how I view myself as a cricketer.
“It actually influenced some of the changes I made in February. I felt I got too technical, constantly looking at videos. I’ve got that buzz back.”
In the recent double two-day warm-up matches against New Zealand XI, Broad did not get the new ball. Chris Woakes, Mark Wood and experienced James Anderson were on the new ball charge during those warm-up matches.
However, the 31-years old right-handed pacer is not looking worried on that. He said, “I think we’re just going to be a bit more flexible. The same people don’t have to take the new ball as the second new ball. We’re just trying to find ways to improve us really because there’s no hiding place from the fact, away from home, we haven’t got it right.”

While Broad is the second most Test wicket-taker for England, his experienced bowling partner James Anderson is leading the table with 523 Test wickets.
Talking about James Anderson and their brilliant bowling partnership, Broad stated, “To think Jimmy has got more than 500 test wickets is pretty incredible really and I’ve been standing at mid-on for most of them I think. Yeah, it’s been special to have that partnership and share some of the things that have gone, the test match wins.
“Certainly seeing the way he’s gone about his business has helped me and there’s no way I’d be near 400 test wickets without having the luck of playing in the same era as Jimmy Anderson. Absolutely not,” Broad further added.
