This Saturday (August 11, 1961) was the 57th birthday of the Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty. On that special occasion, Shetty has revealed his favourite present Indian cricketer and termed him as ‘God of cricket’.
Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty is a big cricket fan. He even participates in the Celebrity Cricket League where he leads Mumbai Heroes. Recently, he met with the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
On his 57th birthday occasion, Shetty has revealed that the wicketkeeper-batsman and the former captain MS Dhoni is his favourite Indian cricketer at present time and he termed him as ‘God of cricket’. The Bollywood actor has wished that the cricketer should never retire from cricket.
According to Times Now, Shetty said on that, “I want that he should never retire from cricket. He is the God of cricket according to me and even after retirement, his stature will go up. It is a matter of sadness that MS Dhoni will retire in a few years. I think that he should always play for India because no captain has a vision like him. You look at thousands of captains and Dhoni will choose the right person at the right time.”

After making an international cricket debut in December 2004, Dhoni has played 90 Tests, 321 ODIs and 93 T20Is where he has broken many records. The right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman has scored 16,409 runs in international cricket career (4,876 runs in Tests, 10,046 runs in ODIs and 1,487 runs in T20Is) and also has made a total of 788 dismissals in the international cricket as a wicketkeeper (204 in Tests, 407 in ODIs and 87 in T20Is).

Though he has retired from the Test cricket and also has given up his international cricket captaincy, he is still playing the limited-overs international crickets in best form.
Under his captaincy, India won the 2007 ICC World T20, 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. Dhoni is the only captain who won three different ICC trophies.
