Legendary Indian cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar is eagerly waiting to see the performance of Tahir Bhasin in Kabir Khan’s film, 83, as the legendary cricketer expressed during an interaction with India Today. Tahir Bhasin, who’s acted in 7 Hindi movies so far, will be portraying the role of Sunil Gavaskar in the Bollywood biopic, which is based on India’s historic triumph in the 1983 World Cup in England.
Sunil Gavaskar said he saw a few shots of the film and talking about the same, he said, “He has done a fantastic job. From the little I have seen, I saw one day’s shooting. And after the shot was taken, I was around there, we were just having a chat. He was standing next to me. I suddenly saw somebody very familiar standing next to me.”

He further elaborated, “He was standing exactly as I did. And then I realized he is playing me. He got the mannerisms right, not just the walk. I am just looking forward to seeing how he plays an attacking shot. By the way, I don’t play only defensive shots. I play attacking shots also.”
