Suresh Raina gears up for IPL, Resumes Training

The outbreak of the COVID-19 virus has affected the world severely. It has brought the world to a standstill with many countries being completely lockdown for safety and to contain the spread of the virus. Many major sporting events have either been postponed or canceled in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic affecting the globe. Cricket has also suffered a similar fate with all international and domestic matches being canceled. With no cricket going around and everyone in lockdown, many players and coaches are training indoors and keep themselves fit once the world returns to normalcy.  Indian middle-order batsman Suresh Raina took to Twitter and shared a video of himself working out indoors with his little daughter.

In the video shared by Suresh Raina, the player is seen various sorts of exercises. Raina is doing strengthening and flexibility exercises. Raina may be in the last phase of his career as age is catching up with him. The player is keeping himself fit to make sure he is ready for any upcoming cricketing action. Suresh Raina is a crucial player for the Chennai Super Kings side led by MS Dhoni.

“Working out with toddlers can be quite the challenge but then again — weighted planks and innocent giggles. What’s not to love?”  Raina tweeted.

The World Cup winner has been using his star power and social media influence to spread awareness and safety about the pandemic spread of Corona Virus across India. He has also urged the citizens to donate money toward any relief fund. Suresh Raina is leaving no stone unturned in helping the government fight the spread of the Corona Virus across the country.

Earlier in March, Suresh Raina trained with MS Dhoni, Piyush Chawla Ambati Rayudu, and others in Chennai. All the Indian players were involved in a pre-IPL Camp set by their franchise the Chennai Super Kings. The camp was later suspended to the outbreak of Corona Virus and all the players who had assembled in Chennai returned back to their hometowns.

Originated in China, the COVID-19 Virus has affected more than 1,349,870 people so far. It is also responsible for killing over 74,820 people globally. The pandemic spread of the virus has affected more than 4,850 people across India taking away more than 136 lives.
