The Indian fast bowler T Natarajan on Tuesday shared a post on social media where he flaunted the Team India Test jersey. Currently, he is with the Test team for the ongoing four-match Test series in Australia, which is labeled at 1-1. The third Test of the series is scheduled to be played in Sydney from January 7.

Captioning the picture on Twitter, Natarajan wrote: ‘A proud moment to wear the white jersey. Ready for the next set of challenges’.

This has led many to believe that the Sunrisers Hyderabad star can be expected to make his Test debut in the third game of the four-match series against Australia starting in Sydney on January 7. The Australian tour only seems to get better and better for Natarajan, who earlier made his ODI and the T20I debut for India in the tour after being flown to the country as a net bowler.

T Natarajan came in as the replacement of the injured Varun Chakravarthy to get a foot into the Indian T20I team and then also roped in as the replacement of Navdeep Saini for the ODI series as well. While he picked up two wickets on his ODI debut, he ended as the leading wicket-taker, with six dismissals, in the three-match T20I series against Australia.

The Indian team is missing the services of several crucial cogs ahead of the 3rd Test, with Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav ruled out.

Natarajan had a dream season in IPL 2020 where he managed to scalp 16 wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad as his team bowed out in the Eliminator of the tournament, and was crowned as the yorker specialist. He has as often been touted as the future star of India.
