West Indies and South Africa are locking horns in the sixth match of the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai. Both teams lost their first match in the tournament and will be trying to get their campaign back with a win.
Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to bowl first. Quinton de Kock made himself unavailable for the match and Reeza Hendricks replaced him in the playing XI. West Indies made a forced change in Obed McCoy and Hayden Walsh replaced him.

Evin Lewis and Lendl Simmons walked out to open the innings for West Indies. The duo provided their team with a good start in the powerplay as they scored 43 runs inside the first six overs without losing any wicket. Lewis completed his fifty and got out to Keshav Maharaj on 56.
A flurry of wickets saw West Indies getting 73/0 to 89/3 in no time. Andre Russell walked out at number 6 after Chris Gayle’s wicket. Russell smashed a boundary on the first ball he faced.
Anrich Nortje came to bowl the 19th over and uprooted Russell’s off-stump on the second ball. Nortje bowled a thunderbolt yorker at 148kmph which Russell failed to jam out and got bowled.

Kieron Pollard played some fine shots towards the end to propel West Indies’ total to 143/8 in 20 overs.
