The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has started with a bang where the defending champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered a convincing win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). CSK won the toss and chose to field first. Veteran Harbhajan Singh started with his stunner bowling where RCB batsmen were not able to stay at the crease. After his stunning bowling, CSK’s star spinner Imran Tahir started his magic as his leg-break dismantled RCB batsmen and bowled out within 70 and he ended up his spell with 3/9 in 3 overs.
Tahir bowled an amazing delivery in the first ball of the 12th over which hit Navdeep Saini on the pad. However, Navdeep Saini was given not out by the on-field umpire. but Imran Tahir convinced the captain, MS Dhoni, to take a review and later it became a successful review as Saini was trapped in front of the wicket.

After his dismissal, right-handed batsman Yuzvendra Chahal walked into bat. He missed a googly with a poor sweep shot in the 14th over. Where Harbhajan Singh took an easy catch at deep mid-wicket and left his side into big trouble.

Later Umesh Yadav and Parthiv Patel were bowled out by Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo for scores of 1 and 29 respectively. However, CSK chased down the mere total of 71 within 18 overs, registering a comfortable 7 wickets win.
