The 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier fixtures released

Just after few days of releasing the 2018 Asia Cup fixtures, the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier fixtures have been released on Friday. Six ICC Asian associate members will participate in this competition, starting from August 29, and the winner of the tournament will qualify for the 2018 Asia Cup.

The 14th edition of Asia Cup cricket fixtures have been released on last Tuesday. The tournament will be played in ODI format in United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 15 to 28 and a total of six teams will participate in this competition.

The participating teams are – six-time champions (including the T20 format) India, five-time champions Sri Lanka, two-time champions Pakistan, two-time runners-up Bangladesh, Afghanistan and the champion of the Qualifier.

The Qualifier tournament will be also played in ODI format from August 29 to September 6 in between six teams in Malaysia. The participating six teams are – the hosts Malaysia, Hong Kong, Nepal, Oman, Singapore, and UAE.

In the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier, each team will play once against all other teams. The round-robin matches will be played on August 29, 30, September 1, 2 and 4 and all teams will play in each day. At the end of the round-robin stage, the top two teams on the points table will meet once again in the final on September 6 and the winner of the match will advance for the 2018 Asia Cup.
