During the second match of the second season of the IPL at Cape Town, Anil Kumble registered his maiden T20 five-wicket haul and career-best figures of 3.1-1-5-5 against Rajasthan Royals. Chasing 134 runs to win the match, Kumble put a halt to the already struggling innings of Royal as he dismissed the lower half of the line-up by himself. His ‘jumbo’ efforts saw the Royals’ falling apart from 5-47 to 10-58.
