The ongoing match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai took a poor turn for the away team with Chennai Super Kings ripping past Mumbai’s batting unit. Cameron Green and Ishan Kishan opened the innings for Mumbai but it was Chennai’s leading fast bowler, Tushar Deshpande who provided his team with the early breakthrough in the contest.

Mumbai’s opening partnership failed to do much as Cameron Green and Ishan Kishan could add just 13 runs for the first wicket in 11 deliveries before Tushar Deshpande bowled a brilliant delivery to nick the top of off stumps, dislodging the bails.

Bowling to Green on the 5th delivery of the second over Tushar Deshpande bowled in a brilliant delivery just outside the off stumps and Green attempted a wild hoick at it but failed to make any connection with the ball as the ball moved under the bat before rattling the stumps.

Chennai Super Kings will be happy with the bowling produced by both Tushar Deshpande as the duo has kept the pressure on teh visitors as given Chennai’s spinners a lot of breathing room to do their job after picking the top 3 batters from Mumbai’s batting unit.
