On Thursday morning, Team India announced the 12-member squad ahead of the second Test against Windies in Hyderabad and they have decided to retain the same squad. Shardul Thakur is the 12th man once again and it seems that the Indian skipper Virat Kohli is looking to field the same XI which played in Rajkot. However, Mayank Agarwal has been sidelined yet again and because of that, it seems that either he will go to Australia without any international experience or he will not go at all.
However, Mayank’s India A opening partner Prithvi Shaw got a nod in Rajkot and grabbed the opportunity with both his hands by smashing a Test century in his Debut innings. Shaw went on to smash 134 runs and looked extremely confident during his stay in the middle. One would’ve felt even Agarwal will get his chance in the second Test just to get a feel of the highest level of cricket as important assignments are about to come for the team in the near future.
Karun Nair recently traveled with the Indian team in England and was eventually dropped without getting to feature in the playing XI. The same is being feared about Mayank Agarwal now and the fans believe that he shouldn’t be axed for the upcoming Australia tour. India is scheduled to face Australia in their own backyard in December in four Tests and it is supposed to be one of the best chances for them to win the series Down Under.

Agarwal is undoubtedly a talented batsman and Kohli spoke about giving longer ropes to the cricketer now. The opener will be definitely in the plans of the selectors but he should’ve got an opportunity to make a debut in India. Meanwhile, Twitterati is left infuriated with the team management as they have benched the talented batsman once again. They felt that this was the best chance to try him out ahead of the crucial series. Here’s how Twitter reacted:

Why No Place for Mayank Agarwal, Mohd Siraj & Hanuma Vihari In Squad For 2nd Test? 🤔 #INDvWI

Why Mayank agarwal is not in?
Is it to give chance to klrahul to score century in last innings (like what he did in England)?
It is frustrating to follow Indian cricket. BCCI Captain Coach Selectors are all biased and spoil career of Youngsters like Mayank.— Subbu (@kksubbu2003) October 11, 2018
#IndvsWI Why Rahane is getting so many chances and Players like Karun Nair And Mayank Agarwal sitting outside ?????
