Rajasthan Royals’ teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again captured attention both on and off the field during IPL 2026, as his emotional Mother’s Day tribute ahead of the clash against the Gujarat Titans in Jaipur quickly went viral on social media. The 15-year-old batter shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, posting, “This one’s for you, maa,” alongside a special picture that resonated with fans across the country.

The emotional moment came on a significant evening for Rajasthan Royals, who walked out at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium wearing their iconic all-pink jersey as part of the franchise’s “Pink Promise” initiative. The campaign continues to focus on women-led social change and sustainable rural development across Rajasthan, making the occasion even more meaningful.
While the tribute won hearts online, Sooryavanshi made headlines once again with his fearless batting display. The young opener created history by becoming the fastest and youngest cricketer in men’s T20 cricket to complete 100 sixes. Remarkably, he achieved the milestone in just 29 innings and only 514 deliveries, underlining his extraordinary power-hitting ability at such a young age.

The left-hander wasted no time attacking Gujarat Titans. Facing Mohammed Siraj in the powerplay, Sooryavanshi launched the very first ball he faced for a towering six over long-on and continued his aggressive approach throughout his short but explosive innings. He smashed 36 runs off just 16 balls, including three boundaries and three sixes, before Siraj eventually ended the entertaining contest between bat and ball.

Sooryavanshi has emerged as the Rajasthan Royals’ breakout star this season. In 11 innings, he has scored 440 runs at an average of 40 while maintaining a breathtaking strike rate of 236.55. His campaign already includes a century and two half-centuries, making him one of the most exciting young players in IPL 2026.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals also continued highlighting the impact of their Pink Promise initiative. The franchise announced that every six hit during the Gujarat Titans clash would help provide solar electricity to six homes in rural Rajasthan. According to the Royals, the campaign has already helped electrify more than 780 homes across the last two years through women-led development projects.
This season’s pink jersey was designed by 19-year-old Samiksha Rameshwar Mundada from Nashik, winner of the Royals HunaRR Manch contest, which received over 8,500 entries nationwide. Featuring solar-inspired artwork and the slogan “Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai,” the jersey beautifully reflected the campaign’s larger vision of empowering women and supporting sustainable rural progress.
