Vaibhav Suryavanshi has announced himself on the grandest T20 stage with a record-breaking IPL century that has stunned fans and experts alike. At just 14 years old, the Rajasthan Royals’ prodigy etched his name into the history books with a breathtaking 35-ball century – the fastest ever by an Indian in IPL history. In doing so, he also became the youngest player to score a T20 century, a remarkable achievement for someone still playing age-group cricket not long ago.

Vaibhav’s  101-run blitz not only dismantled Gujarat Titans but also laid the foundation for the Rajasthan Royals’ commanding eight-wicket win at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. His innings was a masterclass in fearless ball-striking. He hammered 7 boundaries and launched 11 sixes into the Jaipur night, scoring a staggering 94 runs through boundaries alone.

What made his knock even more astonishing was the calibre of bowlers he took apart—Rashid Khan, Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma, and Washington Sundar all found themselves on the receiving end of his brutal hitting. He showed no respect for reputations, only reacting to what came out of the bowler’s hand.

His post-match comments reflected the simplicity of his mindset: “I don’t see the name of the bowler, I just see the ball and play.” That clarity, coupled with months of preparation, has culminated in a dream come true. “It’s a very good feeling. I’ve been training hard for the IPL for the last 3-4 months, and the results are finally showing,” Vaibhav Suryavanshi said with a smile that mirrored the spark he brought to the game.

Partnering with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav stitched a sensational 166-run opening stand in the 210-run chase. Jaiswal, seasoned but visibly in awe, couldn’t help but gush over his young partner. “It was an incredible innings—one of the best I’ve seen. He just kept going. He works hard, has the temperament, and plays proper cricketing shots. I wish him all the luck.”

Vaibhav’s century wasn’t just a personal milestone—it was a statement. A young star has arrived, and if this innings is any indication, Indian cricket may just have discovered its next generational talent.
