Speaking on Breakfast with Champions, Varun Chakravarthy shared the hilarious story behind his viral post, in which he was seen asleep beside a coffee cup instead of the trophy. The spinner, who claimed seven wickets in six matches at an average of 20.42, said he had planned a celebratory picture with the real trophy — but when it didn’t arrive, he improvised.

“I knew we were going to win. By the time we won the second match, I was sure that if we met them in the final, we’d win. So, I had planned to sleep with the cup next to me. But after the match, there was nothing there — just a coffee cup! So I went ahead with that. The cup can be taken away, but we are still champions,” he said with a laugh.
