Venkatesh Iyer, a prominent player for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, has recently gotten engaged to Shruti Raghunathan. Iyer posted a cheerful picture on Instagram, capturing their radiant smiles following their engagement ceremony. While his opportunities with the Indian cricket team have been limited, Iyer remains a crucial player for KKR, demonstrating his abilities in numerous matches.

Earlier this year, Venkatesh Iyer shared a video clip of his encounter with the students at the Veda Pathshala on Instagram. The video featured the Veda Pathshala grounds, where Venkatesh Iyer participated in a cricket game with the eager students. The kids were allowed to bowl to the cricketer one by one, and he responded with his outstanding batting skills. Several instructors were also present.

Iyer expressed his delight and thankfulness for the chance to interact with the kids in the caption that went with his Instagram post. He noted, “The passion for the game is unbelievable. “I had a wonderful time interacting with all of the young Veda Pathshala learners in Kanchipuram.”

 

Despite the Kolkata Knight Riders’ failure to reach the Playoffs, the IPL 2023 season will be etched in Venkatesh Iyer’s memory forever. Iyer amassed a total of 404 runs in 14 matches, maintaining an outstanding strike rate of 145.85, demonstrating exceptional form.

Additionally, this season marked a significant milestone for him as he scored his maiden century in the IPL during a match against the Mumbai Indians. Iyer’s hundred became only the second player from the Kolkata franchise to achieve a century-plus score in the tournament’s history. Brendon McCullum, who achieved this feat 15 years ago during the inaugural season, was the first.
