The Indian team has almost sealed their chance of reaching the semi-final in the ongoing T20 World Cup after registering a nail-biting win over Bangladesh which was their third win of the tournament. The thrilling victory came on the back of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli’s glittering half-centuries, along with the new ranked no.1 T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav’s scintillating cameo. Kohli and Suryakumar indulged in a heartwarming moment on social media after the much-needed win.

The former Indian skipper was a bit disappointed when Bangladesh managed to get the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav, who toppled Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan to claim the top spot in the latest ICC T20I rankings for batters ahead of the game. Both the Indian batters, who share an immense spirit of camaraderie, were involved in an endearing moment on Instagram.

Virat Kohli posted a picture with his teammates in the aftermath of the win via his Insta handle reading, “Character & Conviction.” Suryakumar Yadav commented on the post with, “Fire hai.” Kohli replied to the comment by saying, “Suryakumar bhau sabse upar #1,” referring to the Indian batter’s latest feat of reaching the numero uno position in the ICC rankings.

Coming to the match, the Bangladeshi bowlers were on top of the proceeding in the early phase of the game as they had managed to send back India’s captain, Rohit Sharma cheaply. But his dismissal did not deter his opening partner KL Rahul who showcased his hitting abilities to silence his critics. While Rahul was doing his thing from the other end, Virat Kohli built his innings in typical Kohli fashion.

Kohli’s innings helped the men in blue to finish strong in the game after which the bowlers held their nerve to survive a breathtaking assault from Litton Das to secure a win by five runs.
