Indian batter Virat Kohli arrived on the field with the wrong jersey during the IND vs PAK match of the ICC World Cup 2023. Kohli had worn a jersey that did not have tricolor stripes on its shoulder. Rather, there were three white stripes on the shoulders. India takes on Pakistan in ICC World Cup 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Both teams are playing their third match of the tournament. India opted to field first in the match against Pakistan. When Virat Kohli arrived on the field, he was wearing a jersey without tricolor stripes. India’s jersey in ICC World Cup 2023 has three stripes of Tricolour on each shoulder.

However, it was missing from Kohli’s jersey which had a white colored stripe. Kohli also signaled his players about the same. Later, he changed his jersey and returned to the stadium.

Meanwhile, Kohli has shown a stunning form in ICC World Cup 2023. The right-handed batter slammed an 85-run knock in the first game against Australia. In the previous match against Afghanistan, he slammed an unbeaten half-century to get the winning runs for the team while chasing.

Meanwhile, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first in the match. At the end of 10 overs, Pakistan reached 49-10 on the scoreboard. They lost one wicket in the form of Abdullah Shafique for 20 runs.

For India, Shubman Gill returned to the team, and Ishan Kishan was rested in the match. The rest team remained the same as the previous match. Pakistan has named the same playing XI from the previous game.

This is a rare incident of a player wearing the wrong jersey in a major international match. However, Kohli’s quick reaction to the mistake ensured that it did not cause any major disruption to the game.
