Virat Kohli Excited for The Come Back Of Fans To Watch Cricket

The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli is excited to come back to his international duties for India for the four-match Test series against England as he said that the resumption of cricket in India has come at the right time. Kohli also looking forward to fans coming to the stadiums to witness live cricket action in the upcoming Tests vs England.

India’s four-match Test series against England marks the resumption of international cricket in the country post the effect of Covid-19, after a gap of 11 months, with the last match to be played in India being an ODI against Australia in Bengaluru on January 19, 2020.

During a chat on Star Sports, Virat Kohli said, “Every country is hosting cricket. We were probably the only country left so it was just a matter of time. And I think it’s happening at the right time. Things have been brought under control. Great work has been done. Now when we go to our practice session, we are in this bubble in India, we feel safe. We don’t feel like uncertainty at all. Things are moving along nicely. Playing cricket in India is a very very special thing for us.”

India’s first Test against England is also the first Test match to be played in India after the pink-ball Test hosted at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata between November 22 and 24.

Talking about it further, Virat said, “There is a different feel to it, there is a different connection to it. Hopefully, there will be a few spectators in the coming games as well which is a great thing for our whole country, for our cricket fans. We are just very very happy. I am so excited that cricket is finally resuming in India and we are gonna have a good home season.”
