Teh stalwarts of cricket, Virat Kohli and Rashid Khan were pictured together during one of their practice sessions ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT). Rashid Khan was shadow practicing with a bat during their interaction and later revealed that Virat Kohli gifted one of his bats to the leggie. Khan thanked the RCB man for his gift in his Instagram video.

Virat Kohli and Rashid will meet on the pitch on Thursday (19th May) as RCB will be locking horns with Gujarat Titans. RCB will hope that their former skipper finds his form back for the all-important clash as they are in a tussle with Delhi Capitals for the fourth qualifying spot.

Kohli has endured a tough time with his bat in recent times as he has scored just 236 runs at an average of below 20 with just one-half century in 13 games so far. RCB’s longest-serving player, Kohli, has been advised to take some time off the game by many former cricketers.

Meanwhile, Rashid Khan has been witnessing a brilliant outing in the ongoing IPL season so far as he has scaped 16 wickets going less than seven runs per over. But his pyrotechnics with the bat in the latter stages of the innings has also helped the Gujarat franchise.

The leg spinner has won several games for his side with the ball in hand, but when Gujarat faced off against Sunrisers earlier this year, he played a fiery knock of 11-ball 31 as he smoked Marco Jansen for three sixes in the final over to hand his side an unlikely win. Khan has scored 72 runs for his side at a strike rate nearing 190 in IPL 2022.

The leggie recently became the fastest bowler to complete 450 T20 wickets (321 innings), breaking Imran Tahir’s record (339 innings). He also named three players who would form his dream hat-trick. He picked one player each from India, Pakistan, and New Zealand in the form of Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, and Kane Williamson, respectively.
